Hi, my name is Sharon and when I was 7, I was given a Peterson Field Guide to Birds. That was when it hit me- I love birds, it’s the way I’m wired. I feel that it is my personal goal to get people excited about birds and wildlife. If someone takes a second look and notices their first yellow warbler, that's a great day. My favorite part of my shop is that 20% of the profits go to support kid birding programs at the American Birding Association. If we can keep kids interested in the outdoors, they'll want to love and protect it as much as we do. My folks didn't have a lot of money to send me to birding events when I was little, if my shop can help just one young birder out there learn more or see a once in a lifetime bird, then my goal has been met.
