I love mesh feeders. We have two at our feeding station including this green one. If a bird eats a seed, it will come to this feeder. It's an all purpose style which means you can offer black-oil sunflower seeds, a sunflower mix, or even peanuts and mixed nuts out of the shell. Woodpeckers, chickadees, finches and nuthatches will cling to the mesh and chip the seeds out. Other birds like cardinals and grosbeaks will tends to rest on the tray. This feeder holds a lot of food and the stainless steel mesh is strong. Woodlink is a trustworthy company and I have many of their feeders. When I ran a bird store, I had a great relationship with the company and it was easy to get new parts for the feeder on the rare occasion I needed them.

Green Steel Magnum Sunflower Feeder Specifications

All-steel constructed, seed tube feeder attracts and feeds a variety of wild birds and deters squirrels. Constructed of heavy-duty steel with a durable powder coat finish in two functional designs. Feeder includes a 12" long cable and stainless steel hook top hanger, as well as drainage holes in the base to keep the seed dry and fresh. Oversized, 11-1/2" diameter lid easily slides off for simple seed refills and cleaning. Feeder boasts a durable stainless steel mesh feeder tube with 1/4" openings. Holds 4 quarts (approx. 5 lbs) of seed. Overall feeder measures 9" diameter by 13" high. Arrives fully assembled.

How To

Fill the bottom half of the mesh with black oil sunflower and the top half with mixed nuts.
Sprinkle seed on the tray when you first put this feeder up to help get birds' attention.
