Squirrel Buster Plus

I love this product because you can adjust the weight to keep both larger birds and squirrels off and it's dishwasher safe when you want to clean it.

This is one of my favorite feeders to keep squirrels from eating all your bird seed. I've given this feeder as a gift and even hung it outside my apartment window. The ring on the bottom of the feeder is the perch that birds to stand on while they feed. It's connected to a spring on the inside of the tube and when anything heavy sets on that ring, the bottom part of the feeder comes down, blocking access to the seed. You can twist a nut on the inside to control the tension of the spring and the depending on how you adjust the tension, it can not only keep squirrels away from the food, but also larger birds like pigeons and grackles.

The other really cool thing about this feeder is that you can take it apart and safely put the components in the dishwasher for easy cleaning--you can't do that with every feeder.

Squirrel Buster Plus Specifications

The Squirrel Buster Plus keeps out squirrels and some nuisance birds by using an adjustable weight mechanism that closes access to the seed. Openings in the bottom section of the feeder (shroud) align with seed ports, providing birds access to the seed. When a squirrel climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically forces the shroud down, closing the seed ports. squirrels and large birds are foiled but not harmed in any way. Features seed tube ventilation to keep seed fresher, adjustable perches and attachable cardinal ring. Disassembles for cleaning, is dishwasher safe and rustproof, with a 3 quart seed capacity and lifetime warranty.

How To

This feeder works best hanging from a tree branch. Careful what type of hook you use off a deck. If it's off a shepherd's hook, it is possible for a squirrel to stand on the rail, reach over and grab seed out of the port without leaning on the port.
