Suet Sandwich Feeder
I like this product because it's hard for raccoons to eat all the suet.

If you are having problems with raccoons and crows making off with your suet feeder, this is the one you want.  Here's a link to a video I made demonstating how to use it and hang it.

But the main idea is that the feeder is made of resin. It looks like natural bark but is really hard resin.  You take the two bark pieces apart and smash suet into the the thin center of the feeder. When you put it back together, the two resin bark peices turn it into a "suet sandwich." Woodpeckers can cling to it and get at the narrow slab of suet on the inside. They can even get in very deep because woodpeckers have VERY long tongues.

Here's a video of a downy woodpecker using our feeder.

This may not hold as much suet as other feeders, but it will keep out raccoons and crows--it save money in the long run.
